Michael advises clients on complex asset recovery and enforcement matters, with a particular focus on investor-state award enforcement. He has extensive experience supporting multi-jurisdictional disputes and investigations across Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.

Before joining the firm, Michael worked in the disputes consulting team of a leading corporate investigations firm in London and at a litigation funder where he analysed and reviewed potential claims for funding, including commercial litigation and investment treaty cases.

Over the past three years, Michael has supported clients on a wide range of litigation and arbitration matters. A core expertise lies in the identification and analysis of sovereign bonds in the context of investor-state enforcement proceedings, having been instrumental in coupon seizure and bond disruption. In addition, he has obtained critical evidence for a number of alter ego and commercial exception arguments leading to the seizure of hundreds of millions of sovereign assets. Beyond asset recovery and enforcement matters, his work has included conducting internal investigations relating to corruption allegations, evidence gathering,  and providing general litigation support.

Michael holds a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP University and an MA in Arabic and Classics from the University of St Andrews.
