Ashley began her career at a private intelligence firm where she worked closely with government agencies and ministries on large scale recovery initiatives and sensitive international disputes. She later joined a London headquartered corporate investigations firm where she led the Dispute Consulting team and founded the company’s Sovereign Debt Advisory division. In 2022, her and her partners sold their company to a NYC headquarter global consulting firm where Ashley led the asset tracing and sovereign enforcement practice before founding Veleda.
Ashley is an acknowledged expert in asset recovery, global investigations and dispute support with a particular focus on conflicts involving governments. Over the past 15 years she has advised business leaders, law firms, corporate counsel and investors on hostile situations, complex commercial disputes and multi-jurisdictional enforcement matters. She has led a number of high-profile investigations and asset recovery assignments involving counterparties in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East and helped secure over USD 2 billion in settlements and recovered funds.
Alongside legal remedies for commercial conflicts, Ashley is known for her global network and ability to use it effectively to support alternative routes to success and has been pivotal in securing a number of advantageous settlements.
Ashley has been recognized by Chambers & Partners and Lexology (Who’s Who Legal) for her work since 2020. She regularly serves as a guest speaker and commentator on matters related to asset tracing and investigations.
